Open Data workshop study hubs 2023

Hi all,

We are glad to announce our Study Hub in Guadalajara, Mexico.

  • Location and time. Inter-institutional study hub: Centro Universitario de Ciencias e Ingenierías at the Universidad de Guadalajara (CUCEI-UDG) and Tecnológico de Monterrey campus Guadalajara (ITESM-GDL). May 15th-17th, 9am - 2pm local time.

  • How many people can join. In-person students: 20 at CUCEI-UDG, 20 at ITESM-GDL. We can also accept until 20 online (Spanish-speaking) students from other cities/countries.

  • Registration. Form available on: https://forms.gle/3EqeM9kz4s9zqMx78.

  • Will there be experienced GW analysts (mentors) at your hub?. Yes. We have researchers and post-graduate students currently working in GW data analysis, who will be mentors.

  • Other information We encourage to researchers, university students, tech professionals, or any people interested in data science, to register in our study hub.

We are organizing a study hub at IIT Bombay, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

  • Study Hub location and time: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400076. Venue: LC 101. May 15th, 16th and 17th, from 14:00 IST to 17:00 IST.
  • How many people can join? Max 25 people.
  • How do participants sign-up? Is there a registration form? Please fill out this google form.
  • Will there be experienced GW analysts (mentors) at your hub to answer questions? Yes, there will be PhD students working on gravitational waves and related areas who will answer your queries.

** Study Hub location and time.** 2:00pm-5:00pm on May 15th-17th. The location is the TianQin center in Zhuhai city.
How many people can join? Max 40 people
How do participants sign-up? Is there a registration form? Please contact me through huyiming at sysu.edu.cn with your information (name, affiliation, research interest) to register.
Will there be experienced GW analysts (mentors) at your hub to answer questions? Yes, the local TianQin data analysis experts will be around, also we will invite a guest expert from AEI.

Dear all,
We are pleased to announce that the University of Tasmania is organizing a Study Hub to watch the live videos and work together on the tutorials.

  • Study Hub location and time: Sandy Bay Campus in Hobart - Physics Building - Auscope room / room 218 — Monday May 15th to Wednesday 17th from 4:30 to 9pm. We will meet in front of Auscope room (4th floor).
  • How many people can join? Up to 20 people.
  • How do participants sign-up? Is there a registration form? Contact Karelle.siellez@utas.edu.au or just come in.
  • Will there be experienced GW analysts (mentors) at your hub to answer questions No official mentors from LVK, some of our academics are past GW analysts/LVK members.
