Open Data Workshop 2026 Study Hubs

The Open Data Workshop 2026 will take place in April (April 20-23)!

As every year, study hubs can be organized by the workshop mentors and also by participants who would like to work on the tutorials and notebooks together.

If you would like to host a Study Hub, we encourage you to advertise it on this thread.
Please reply to this post, and include all necessary information to join your hub:

  • Location and time. Please add it on the map of Study Hubs.
  • How many people can join?
  • How do participants sign-up? Is there a registration form?

You are welcome to contact the workshop organizers with any questions.

Here is the live map of the study hubs:

See you at the Open Data Workshop!

Does enrolling via [ GW Open Data Workshop ] is sufficient or do we need to do any other formalities. And there are few modules in the odw2026 on gw-odw , so the solutions to them are to be submitted by May 21, 2026 as mentioned on it or is there any other deadline ( as the year is not mentioned on it ).

Having confusion in it !!

@astroshashwat if you want to attend online, there is nothing more to do do. You will receive links to watch the tutorials.

About the second part of you message, are your referring to the notebooks on github (GitHub - gw-odw/odw: Materials from GW Open Data Workshop) ? If so, please be patient, we will update them and the quiz before the Open Data Workshop (April 20-23rd).

@killfrog5566 , the date of the study hub is before the ODW. Is that a mistake ?

Hi @mdubois, no, we decided to host the study hub earlier because most of us will not be available during the week of the ODW. We also want to accommodate the local participants, including high school students and teachers, to avoid exam weeks in Taiwan. We will advertise the ODW and encourage participants to watch the ODW lectures in the study hub.

@killfrog5566 Thanks for the clarification.

I am glad to see that the number of study hubs is rising quickly. I have updated the map: Open Data Workshop 2026 Study Hubs - Google My Maps .

Keep spreading the word.

@NGottschlich you didn’t mention if local experts would be present at your study hub. Is that the case?

Oh yes, apologies! We should have at least 1 expert.
