Hi There,
I am Dhruv Kumar, currently a postgraduate research student at the University of Glasgow and graduating in December 2025 with a B.S. in Physics from the National Institute of Technology Agartala, India. I completed my bachelor’s thesis project at the Australian National University, modeling supernova explosions in disk galaxy simulations. My research focuses on gravitational-wave astronomy and machine learning, and I am seeking PhD opportunities in this area.
I am a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, Cosmic Explorer, GEO600, with recent work including:
-
Precession-aware parameter estimation pipelines (Penn State)
-
ML-based glitch identification for GW detectors (Tokyo City University)
-
Supernova simulations with FLASH on HPC systems (ANU)
-
Bayesian waveform modeling (BIMSA, China)
I would be grateful if you could let me know about any PhD openings in your group or network.
Best regards,
Dhruv Kumar
