Looking for Ph.D. opportunities

Hi, everyone. I’m from India and I had completed my master’s in physics and my Master’s thesis focused on Gravitational Waves and Gravitational Lensing effects. I am very much passionate about GW physics and it is my goal to continue research in this field.
I am writing to express my interest in doing a Ph.D in GW physics or GR.
Also I was wondering if there are any ongoing open projects so that I can collaborate in the research?

Hi @tonnystark I am sorry for the slow response to this question.

Generally, the best way to pursue research in gravitational waves is as part of a PhD program at a school with a gravitational-wave research program.

In India, a good place to start is with schools involved in the LIGO India Collaboration: LIGO-India Scientific Collaboration (LISC) – LIGO-India

In Europe, there are many schools with a research program working on Virgo: VMD Public

And in the United States, you can look for PhD programs at schools that are members of the LSC: myLigo

Thank you so much @jonah for the valuable information regarding research in GW. As is, I currently do not have any publications and that, I believe, is making my application for a Ph.D difficult. I was wondering whether there are any projects that I can be a part of so that I could get some experience and publications so that it would help me in my further academic goals.
